TRADES UNION CONGRESS
The TUC is the voice of Britain at work. With 58 affiliated unions representing 6.2 million working people from all walks of life, they campaign for a fair deal at work and for social justice at home and abroad.
The TUC negotiates in Europe, and at home builds links with political parties, business, local communities and wider society.
The Trades Union Congress:

  • brings Britain’s unions together to draw up common policies
  • lobbies the Government to implement policies that will benefit people at work
  • campaigns on economic and social issues
  • represents working people on public bodies
  • represents British workers in international bodies, in the European Union and at the UN employment body - the International Labour Organisation
  • carries out research on employment -related issues
  • runs an extensive training and education programme for union representatives
  • helps unions develop new services for their members
  • helps unions avoid clashes with each other
  • builds links with other trade union bodies worldwide

INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF RADIOGRAPHERS AND RADIOLOGICAL TECHNOLOGISTS
The ISRRT is an organization composed of over eighty national radiographic societies from seventy five countries representing more than 350,000 radiographers and radiological technologists. It was formed in 1959 to act as a link between radiographers and radiological technologists throughout the world. 
The Society is dedicated to the improvement of standards of practice in radiation medicine technology. It is a non-political organization and is not a trade union. It is a not-for-profit organization.
The ISRRT is recognized as the international representative of radiation medicine technology as a non-govern mental organization in Official Relations with the World Health Organization. Through its official relationship with the World Health Organization the ISRRT also has association with the United Nations and works with other international organizations such as the International Society of Radiologists,  Association of Radiology, the European Society of Radiology, and the International Commission for Radiological Education, and the International Atomic Energy Authority.

EUROPEAN FEDERATION OF RADIOGRAPHER SOCIETIES (EFRS)
The role of the EFRS is to represent, promote and develop the profession of radiography in Europe, within the whole range of medical imaging, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy
It is a young organisation. . In November 2007  it was decided to set up the European Federation of Radiographer Societies and 2008 was a transitional year to prepare the internal organisation and to arrange legal establishment in March 2008 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. 

In 2012, there are 33 radiographer societies from 31 countries in the geographical region of Europe which are registered as full members, one trade union joined as affiliate member and 35 universities from 16 countries are cooperating as affiliate member  in HENRE - the EFRS educational wing.
Through its member organisations  the EFRS represents more than 100.000 radiographers in Europe.

All of these publications are reviewed by qualified health care professionals, fully accredited by Information Standard and available in a number of different formats to ensure they’re accessible to everyone. The booklets can be ordered by you, for free and in bulk from the Prostate Cancer UK website.

The information booklets are just one of the ways Prostate Cancer UK is seeking to support you to support men. The charity also provides professional training, research funding and a specialist nurse helpline for patients.
