Professional indemnity insurance

Members of the Society of Radiographers have the protection of the Society’s Professional Indemnity Insurance cover included in their membership fee, which is a major benefit of membership.  This page is to give an overall picture of the cover provided.  Members can log in to receive more detailed and personal advice (See below).

The policy, which is placed with certain Underwriters at Lloyd's, the Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc and Novae Insurance Co Ltd, provides cover for Members against claims made in respect of their professional duties. It covers full Members, those life Members who have paid the triennial premium separately, certain members of associated professions as approved by the Society of Radiographers for which there is an agreement for cover, and student members under supervision. Members in both the NHS and private sector are covered as individuals provided they work within their scope of practice.
