The GAS Partnership – a healthcare partnership between the Ghana Health Service, the child rights’ charity Afrikids and the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust – aims to improve healthcare provision in the Upper East Region (UER) of Ghana where one in nine children dies before their fifth birthday.
Staff from Southampton are working closely with staff in Ghana to build their capacity, strengthening manpower and promoting skill sharing to enhance the healthcare of the region.
On 20 February, Ashley is due to travel to the UER with her colleague, Consultant Radiologist Dr Catherine Grierson, in order to continue the work of the GAS Partnership.
