Improve radiotherapy practice and learn from world leading centres
The Arthur Kay Radiotherapy Award funds practitioners who want to broaden their horizons and learn about new and innovative techniques and practices from around the globe.
This is an opportunity for an individual or a team to travel to one or more of the world's leading cancer treatment centres and bring back the knowledge and experience to therapeutic radiographers and departments in the UK.
Up to £5000 of funding is available, or £10,000 for exceptional applications.
"The reason that I established the award is for radiographers to implement and disseminate the knowledge they have gained for the benefit of patients, their families and carers," said Arthur Kay.
Successful applicants and their employer must be willing to share the knowledge they have gained with other radiotherapy units. The awardee will also be required to write an article for publication in Synergy - Imaging and Therapy Practice and to give a presentation at the College's Annual Radiotherapy Conference, or an equivalent event.
There are two application deadlines this year: 30 March and 28 September.
