Update on CQC activities
Following recommendations to its Board in November by the Specialist Advice Advisory Group, the CQC has been working on how best to establish a framework for involving clinicians and professionals, as well as accessing relevant, effective specialist advice to support the Commission in all levels of its work.
As a result, the CQC has launched a monthly e-newsletter for clinicians and professionals that includes information on its regulatory activity relevant to this group.
To subscribe to future issues, email professionalnewsletter@cqc.org.uk with ‘professional news’ in the subject line.
The most recent issue features Whistleblowing: Quick guide to raising a concern with CQC which has been written for health and care professionals who need to raise concerns about their workplace.
CQC is also developing a ‘bank’ of various clinical and professional experts who can provide timely and up-to-date advice to support the Commission’s inspection and investigations activities, be it by email, telephone or accompanying inspectors on visits to regulated organisations throughout England.
