UKRC 2007: Only two weeks to go
Just two weeks to go until the UK's most exciting radiological
conference. Registrations are up by 60% on last year and with eight
parallel sessions over three days, the event promises to be an
excellent opportunity for personal development and enjoyment.
The digital imaging programme includes a review of the National PACS Programme, feedback from Connecting for Health, an update on medical workstations and speech recognition and a session organised by the RCR's PACS and Teleradiology group.
The clinical programme offers a range of cutting edge and state of the art sessions, while the comprehensive service delivery programme includes Payment by Results, Choose and Book, how to achieve a balanced budget, delivery of the 18 week programme and radiography workforce issues. Education and training as well as updates by the Department of Health on the future provision of Imaging are also covered.
The advances in technology programme will see experts from Europe, USA and UK presenting on issues such as imaging perception, new emerging techniques (including PET/MR, inter-active imaging for surgery, surgical robotics and stereotaxy), radiation protection, x- ray performance issues and the increasing role of cardiac CT.
