Calling all graduates!
The Society of Radiographers is urging all newly qualified
radiographers to share their experiences of looking for and starting
work as part of a new survey.
The evidence will be presented to the NHS Pay Review Body to inform future radiography workforce planning.
Dr Audrey Paterson, SoR director of professional policy, said: “Job freezes and cuts in the NHS are already affecting graduates. Many are struggling to find work and some are being offered jobs on a lower pay band than they are entitled to."
“In the light of this, the Pay Review Body will be paying close attention to the employment prospects of radiography graduates this year. By completing the survey you can help the SoR build an accurate picture of what is happening to graduates and we will stand more chance of ensuring problems are addressed.”
As well as graduates from 2007, the Society would like to hear from past graduates either who are in employment or still searching for a job.
Each survey takes no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
All respondents will be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win £50 worth of vouchers. Two prizes will be awarded for each survey, one for a diagnostic graduate and one for therapy.
