Continuous hyperfractionated accelerated radiotherapy (CHART)

Treatment regime which accelerates the rate at which the radiotherapy is given (between two and three times daily) and eliminates gaps (ie patients continue to be treated over the weekend). One of the few radiotherapy trials undertaken to prove positive survival advantages for lung cancer patients.
