Stereotactic radiotherapy

Multiple fields of radiotherapy that are directed at a very small area, needing very accurate localisation, using a dedicated positional frame, worn by the patient, to achieve reproducible daily accuracy. This form of treatment is most commonly used for treating small areas of the brain. Again specialised equipment is needed to plan and deliver this type of treatment.
