Student Membership - join now!
If you are on a programme leading to qualification as a radiographer you are entitled to join the Society of Radiographers (SoR). The SoR welcomes student members and offer a reduced rate subscription. We provide the services and support you need throughout your course and help you have your say in matters affecting the profession.
Year one students receive complimentary membership for the first year. If you are in your first year of training and wish to join the Society, you cannot register online and will need to contact the Membership Department on 020 7740 7200, option 1, to set up your free membership.
To retain your student membership after the complimentary period, you will need to visit our website and log on using your student membership number and password, update your personal details and complete the direct debit option before 30 August 2009.
For continuing years, student membership is offered at a vastly reduced rate of £4 a month - a significant number of universities pay the Society membership fee for their students, so find out whether yours pays for you. Students starting a radiography programme in the 2008-9 academic year, who maintain membership for the whole of their education programme, will receive six months' complimentary full membership on qualifying.
NOTE: Your membership includes representation from the SoR. Events that occur before you become a member are not covered.

NOTE: Up until October 2007 HEIs subscribed to the Society and College on your behalf. After that date, Students are responsible for the cost of their membership. However you can save nearly all of the cost when you qualify through great savings in your first year as a qualified member.

Declaration
I confirm that the information in my application for membership of the Society of Radiographers will be correct and, assuming that I am accepted, undertake to be bound by the provisions of the Articles of Association and the code of ethics and professional conduct of the organisation.
Data Protection Act
Your information is provided to the Society to enable you to become a student member. Your data is held on a secure database and may be released to outside service providers, under contract, to provide your benefits and may also be released to secretaries of regional/ country SOR committees. Data is not released to external organisation for marketing purposes.
