Racy X-ray calendar gets over exposure

German based X-ray manufacturing company Eizo has got everyone talking recently by releasing a pin-up style calendar of X-rayed women to promote their medical display monitors.
The calendar shows models in a range of different poses, with only the women's skeletons, a pair of stiletto shoes and a faint outline of the body visible.
Although the calendar was initially sent to doctors and potential clients of the company, it has caused quite a storm online with people taking to forums to debate the 'taboo' nature of the pictures and discuss whether beauty really is just skin deep.
Aside from the clichés about x-ray vision, many people have also disputed the safety involved in the making of the calendar, arguing that to expose women to unnecessary levels of radiation simply as part of a ploy to market products is a step too far.
However, the company tackled this contentious issue by painstakingly compiling each image from individual bone x-rays, thus avoiding unwarranted exposure.
Others, though, are in awe of the artistic and unique nature of the pictures, which allow us the opportunity to look at the female form in a completely different way.
Love it or hate it, it seems there are simply no shortage of opinions on the controversial calendar.
