    Sue Johnson, the superintendent in the x-ray department at the Royal Derby Hospital, is the president of the Society and College of Radiographers for 2011/12.

    Professor Audrey Paterson, who has been the director of professional policy at the Society and College for the past eight years, has been awarded the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's birthday honours list.

    "This is wonderful recognition of Audrey’s exceptional work for our profession and for the Society and College of Radiographers," said Richard Evans, the Society's chief executive officer.

    Sessions covering image interpretation of the paediatric skeleton are the latest update to the Image Interpretation e-learning programme.

    This addition follows an announcement by Philips Healthcare that the content will be available to clinicians outside the NHS for the first time. NHS staff are able to access the e-learning for free, 24 hours a day, in and away from the workplace.
