    The company's logo will appear on materials associated with World Radiography Day, including the the widely-used posters which are part of the hundreds of packs requested by departments and higher education institutions.

    The professional organisation for the people who deliver life-saving radiotherapy to patients who have cancer are pleased with the news that a key treatment is being supported with more funding.

    The £15 million Cancer Radiotherapy Innovation Fund, which is intended to make Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) more widely available in England, is welcomed by the Society and College of Radiographers.

    TUC delegates back radiographers’ motion to support Stonewall campaign

    A campaign by the UK’s leading gay and bisexual rights organisation to stop homophobic bullying, a widespread problem in Britain’s secondary schools, has been given unanimous support at this year’s Trades Union Congress (9-12 September 2012).

    Society of Radiographers calls for funding reform and legislation to support multiple sclerosis sufferers

    A motion today (10 September 2012) at the 2012 Trades Union Congress calling on government to provide more social care for sufferers of MS, received overwhelming support from the conference.

    The Society of Radiographers will put forward a motion at next month’s TUC Congress to call for the TUC to work with campaigning organisations to tackle homophobic bullying in schools and encourage education authorities to take action to eradicate the problem.

    The issue was raised earlier this year, when a motion was passed at the Society’s Annual Delegates’ Conference calling for the union to support the Stonewall Education For All programme.

    The Society of Radiographers will raise a motion at next month's TUC Congress, calling for a funding reform and legislation to protect people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

    Around 100,00 people in UK are affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which is a disorder of the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms can include visual problems, muscle spasms, neuroplasmic and muscloskeletal pain, fatigue, depression and paralysis.

    The Society of Radiographers has balloted its members at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust on strike action, regarding a new shift working system which was imposed in September 2011.

    For around 18 months prior to the system’s introduction, the union and its members attempted to negotiate changes to the proposed system and expressed concerns about the ability of the staff to provide a service to patients under the proposals.
