Information, Support and Review Radiographer Forum

Since 2000 there has been a National Macmillan Information and Support Radiographers group which was established to offer peer support and share best practice across the profession.

The group has now expanded to include radiographers who undertake roles that are not funded or adopted by Macmillan Cancer  Support. It has also been renamed as the Radiotherapy Information, Support and Review Radiographer Forum and become a Society and College of Radiographers Specialist Interest Group.

The aims of this group are to:

  • Create networks to exchange knowledge, views & ideas by meeting approximately every six months and communicating via their Google Group.
  • To provide support & share clinical expertise to benefit both service provision & role developments.
  • To support & contribute to the development of best practice.
To act as a source of expert knowledge.
  • To raise the professional profile of radiographers working in these roles.
  • It is envisaged that members of this group will be invited to contribute to future patient information resources produced by key cancer charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support.
