Welcome

The Interventional Neuroradiography Special Interest Group (INR SIG) is a dedicated forum within the Society of Radiographers for radiographers working in, or aspiring to work in, neurointerventional practice. This includes areas such as stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling and other complex neurovascular procedures.

The group aims to bring together Radiographers from across the UK to share knowledge, promote best practice and support professional development within this highly specialised field. Membership is open to all Society of Radiographers members with an interest in interventional neuroradiography, regardless of experience level. 

The group will provide opportunities for networking, education and collaboration through meetings, webinars, and shared resources

Group aims

  1.  Promote excellence in interventional neuroradiography practice
  2. Support professional development and advanced practice roles for radiographers
  3. Facilitate knowledge sharing and dissemination of best practice
  4. Encourage research, audit and innovation within neuro-intervention
  5. Contribute to national guidance, standards and policy development
  6. Provide networking opportunities for radiographers across centers
  7. Support workforce development in response to growing demand (e.g. stroke services)

Short -medium term plan

  1. Establish regular meetings/webinars
  2. Develop a shared resource hub
  3. Support collaboration between neuro-interventional centers
  4. Contribute to CPD opportunities and study days
