North West Chest X-Ray Reporting Radiographers SIG

We are a small team of CXR reporting radiographers working in a cancer centre who want to develop a network for sharing CXR reporting knowledge.  We are well established and are keen to share information and learn from everyone’s experiences.

Aims

• To provide a network for radiographers who report or will report CXR’s
• Enhance specialist knowledge of chest x-ray reporting
• Learn from each other with a view to improving practice
  
  

Objectives

• Meet on a regular basis to discuss interesting cases, medico-legal issues, exchange ideas, present pre-arranged specialist topics 
• Inspire research, audit and professional publication
• Discuss relevant national and professional publications and their impact on practice
• Promote advanced practitioner status and career development 
• Encourage professional development
• Develop CPD opportunities
• We plan to meet at least twice a year at The Christie in Manchester, and intend to hold future study days for a small fee.
