Mentoring for Experienced Academics - Finding meaning and legacy
9 October 2024

Developing mentorship capabilities for experienced academics. For experienced academics (5 years+) to help develop mentoring knowledge and skills. Content included: How to set up a mentorship scheme? How can I use mentoring models to support others?

Participants in both sessions were able to share examples from their own practice to develop their understanding. The sessions were recorded, and slides and handouts were provided so participants can revisit learning points.

Feedback from the trainer was that if the sessions were to run again it should include how to mentor and coach students. Also, a teachers/lecturers programme could be added to the SoR range of mentoring programmes.
