Society’s Benevolent Fund seeks trustees
The Society's Benevolent Fund is seeking trustees to help provide assistance to members, former members and their families in times of hardship or distress.
Trustees are collectively responsible for the safe and sensible management of the Fund, deciding if an award should be made and how much financial assistance should be given.
Ideally, applicants should have some experience of welfare, benefit provision or grant allocation.
New trustees are selected by the Board of Trustees and nominations are approved by UK Council.
The successful candidates will be required to attend two meetings each year in London. Considerations of grant applications are made online.
Trustees are asked to commit to a minimum of a three year term of office.
This is a voluntary position with no formal remuneration but the Society of Radiographers will pay expenses incurred.
