The TUC will be holding a rally entitled ‘A future for families, a future that works’ on 13 March.
The rally has been timed ahead of the budget to send a message to the Government that living standards are being squeezed by pay stagnation, the rising costs of living, cuts to public services, the impact of the benefit changes and unemployment.
The rally will call for a future that works and an end to austerity policies that are holding back growth and threatening a triple dip recession.
It will take place at the Emmanuel Centre, 23 Marsham Street, London SW1 from 6pm until 7.30pm.
Paul Bromley London Regional Officer hopes for a good turnout from SoR members and asks anyone intending to attend to contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To sign up for updates and alerts, please register at www.tuc.org.uk/afutureforfamilies.
Please note that space will be limited so banners, placards and large props will not be allowed into the venue and the organisers are advising people to come early to ensure they get a seat.
