Last chance to get the earlybird rate for our Annual Student Conference 2018

Student conference

Don’t miss your chance to take advantage of the earlybird rate of £50 for the Annual Student Conference, only until 8 February, which includes lunch, refreshments and a bacon roll (or vegetarian alternative) on arrival!

Join us on 5 April at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel City Centre to engage with your professional body, peers and senior members of the profession. There will be time to network with students from other universities, gain an insight into the structure of the Society, and learn how you can get involved to boost your career prospects.

This year the afternoon workshops promise to be particularly interesting. You’ll be able to choose one to attend from the following:

  • Making Research Happen
Dr Rachel Harris, Professional and Education Manager, will be covering the whole host of options the Society can offer to support students who are interested in research, both as undergraduates and when qualified.
  • Student Involvement in the SoR
Nichola Smith, Student Membership Officer, will be leading a discussion on the new ways in which she is engaging with student members and how involvement can benefit not just your student years, but your career ahead.
  • Professional Ethics – Who Says So?
Sean Henderson-Kelly, Membership and Public Relations Manager, will be looking at the question of professional ethics, so come along to this workshop if you want a lively exchange of ideas and debate around controversial topics!

Remember, the workshops are not lectures. We want your questions, your concerns, your views and even your demands!

You can view the full programme here and register online via the event webpage.

We look forward to welcoming you to Liverpool!
