Radiographer crowned Miss Universe UK

Radiography student Lisa Lazarus has won the title of Miss Universe UK 2008.

She was crowned in a glittering ceremony in London in May and later this year she will represent the UK at the Miss Universe final in Vietnam.
Lisa, originally from Llanelli, Wales is currently studying radiography at Hertfordshire University.

She said: “Winning the Miss Universe UK competition is a dream come true and I can’t wait for the final in Vietnam this June. I’m determined to become the first British woman to win the competition.”

The overall winner will spend a year in New York living in Trump Tower with a diary full of international engagements. Miss Universe is one of the longest standing beauty pageants in the world and is owned by Donald Trump.

Good luck, Lisa!
