Student Conference: Don't miss it!

Interactive break-out sessions will feature at the 2013 Student Conference

Next year's Student Conference is just around the corner and, as ever, promises to be packed with fascinating presentations, thought-provoking sessions and lots of help and advice.

Held on 20 February 2013, this one-day event – entitled 'Getting involved in the profession' – will welcome speakers from across the UK to talk about their specialisms, experiences and worklife.

Highlights include:

• A short address from the President of the Society and College;
• A look at the fascinating world of forensic radiography with Emily Faircloth;
• An overview of the cancer agenda with Sarah James;
• Experiences of a newly-qualified radiographer by Amanda McKenna;
• Getting involved with the Society and College of Radiographers with Paul Maloney;
• Working the World – 2011 competition winner Natasha Kirby shares her experiences;
• Breakout sessions that will explore wider awareness and understanding of radiography.

This is not only a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen career, it's also the chance to meet students from other universities and feel part of the wider student community.

Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so mark the date in your diary and keep an eye out for further details which will be sent to you by email.

SCoR will fund attendees’ travel costs and, in exceptional circumstances, accommodation. The event is open to all first year students who are members of the SCoR.
