Work the World competition: Entry rule change

Nepal is just one of the spectacular countries on offer

There's still time to enter this year's Work the World competition! Launched last month, two lucky winners will have the opportunity to travel to one of six fantastic locations in either Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tanzania, Ghana or Argentina.

The competition is open to all first year students on an approved programme that leads to registration as a diagnostic or therapeutic radiographer. And, following feedback from student members, the competition is now also open to those in the first year of an 'accelerated' course, such as a pre-registration postgraduate MSc.

Organised in partnership with Work the World, the competition prizes are an international elective placement of up to four weeks, to be taken between 1 January and 31 December 2013. Entrants must have been a member of the Society and College of Radiographers 12 months prior to the start of the placement.

If you have overlooked becoming a member for any reason, you can sign up to membership now and it can be backdated to the beginning of the academic year. For more information on becoming a member, email or telephone Carmel Montanarini on 0207 740 7246.

This really is an opportunity of a lifetime, so don't delay! Due to the rule change and to allow sufficient time for all first-year students to enter, the deadline for entries is now Friday 14 December 2012.

Find out more here and enter. Best of luck!
