Make the most of the SCoR website

If you haven’t visited the Society’s website lately, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Not only does it give you vital information about the profession for which you are training, the news pages are updated daily, keeping you in touch with what’s happening in the SCoR, in the hospitals, in the universities, and the health service generally…

Then there’s the listing of the latest job vacancies, details of how the trade union is working on your behalf… information on valuable study days… volunteering opportunities… awards to enter…

And there’s the Student Zone, especially designed to make your journey through education and into work easier…

It includes a downloadable copy of the SoR Student Member Guide, which includes details of all your member benefits and sources of information.

Also CPD Now the SCoR’s innovative and award-winning online tool for planning, recording and reviewing continuous professional development.

It’s never too early to start recording and evidencing your CPD – including assessments, clinical experiences, volunteering, attending conferences and study days, reading and reflecting on journal articles, etc – and having a CPD profile will prove invaluable you when you start applying for jobs. As well as the direct link above, you can also access CPD Now via the home page at

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Click here to have a good look round the website. You will need your membership number and password to benefit fully from the site. If you can’t find your membership number, contact the Society's membership team using the 'Contact us’ link in the top right hand corner of the home page or call 020 7740 7200 option 1 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
