“Don’t be shy, make your service stand out”
Peter Sharpe shares the benefits of ISAS accreditation
Peter Sharpe from independent sector provider Cobalt explained how to make the most of the new commissioning arrangements.
As chief executive of an organisation that wins business through competitive tendering, he had some advice for NHS managers:
“Make sure you know what services are going out to tender – the information won’t just fall into your lap. And be clear that all the providers in the bidding process will meet the basic specifications so it’s up to you to make your service stand out.
“Don’t be shy. Use evidence to show why you are better than your competitors.”

“See what business is out there and chase it down. And support any applications with firm evidence to prove your service’s worth.”
