SOR059 | Administrative Assistant - Professional and Education Team

The Society and College of Radiographers (SoR | CoR) are two separate companies operating together to provide service and support for those involved in radiography. Together they comprise the professional body and trade union for those practicing in medical imaging and radiotherapy. 

The Society of Radiographers is offering an exciting opportunity to become part of our Professional & Education Team. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team making a real impact for members and the profession.

You will work in a role that is varied, rewarding, and central to the success of our professional and education initiatives. 

The role 

As part of a team of four, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our advisory groups, boards, and committees. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Organising meetings, preparing agendas, meeting packs, and presentations.
• Liaising with professional officers and the Digital Communications team to keep members informed through intranet groups, MS Teams channels, and SoR | CoR web pages and publications.
• Proofreading and developing content to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Designing, managing, and analysing member surveys to drive engagement and inform decision-making.

This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to contribute directly to the work of a respected professional body.

About you 

We are looking for someone who brings both administrative expertise and proactive energy to the role. You will have: 

• Experience providing administrative or PA support across a large portfolio of work, ideally within a membership organisation.
• Strong skills in producing accurate, concise, and audience-appropriate meeting notes and papers.
• Proven ability to design, manage, and report on surveys, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage competing deadlines.
• Knowledge of radiography or the wider healthcare professions (desirable).

What you need to know

• Location: Hybrid working (HQ/Home) or Homeworking  
• Salary: Grade B - £42,395 per annum 
• London Allowance - £6,769 per annum (HQ / Hybrid) 
• Homeworking - £1,162 per annum (Homeworking) 
• Benefits include 47 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, final salary pension scheme, significant wellbeing benefits and access to shopping discount platform. 
• Contract: Fixed Term – 10 months  
• Hours: 35 hours per week
