We are establishing a UK-based radiotherapy service delivering low-dose radiotherapy (LDRT) for benign conditions and are looking to recruit HCPC-registered Therapeutic Radiographers.
The role is suitable for
- Radiographers currently practising at Band 5–6 level
- Radiographers seeking flexible or reduced-hours working
- Radiographers returning to practice
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiotherapy safely and accurately in line with protocols
- Patient positioning, imaging verification, and treatment delivery
- Patient communication and support
- Working within defined escalation pathways
- Participation in CPD, audit, and service development
Working Environment
- Consultant Clinical Oncologist-led
- Supported by Medical Physics and Radiation Protection
- Protocol-driven and conservative in scope
- No on-call commitments
- No unscheduled overtime
- No high-throughput acute oncology workload
Essential Criteria
- HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer
- Commitment to safe, patient-centred practice
- Ability to work within defined protocols
Desirable Criteria
- Previous UK radiotherapy experience
- Orthovoltage radiotherapy experience
- Experience or interest in low-dose radiotherapy or benign indications
Salary
- Band 5–6 equivalent (aligned with Agenda for Change benchmarks, dependent on experience)
Contract Type
- Fractional, part-time, or full-time (flexible working considered)
