Breast Innovation Study Day May 2018


The Northern Ireland Charity Action Cancer are pleased to offer a study day suitable for Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals working within Breast Services in the NHS or Private Clinic setting. This evidence based study day is based around the possibilities of using Breast Tomosynthesis as an effective screening tool, examining the benefits of screening younger women (40+), women in high risk groups and the impact of imaging innovation in breast surgery. Learning from the outcomes of the Malmo Tomosynthesis trial the study day will promote the importance of breast screening and patient centred choice in the UK and beyond. Internationally renowned speakers Dr Mike Linver (Professor of Radiology @New Mexico University), Dr Kristina Lang (Lead Author of the Malmo Trial) and Dr Michael Mitchell (Kings College, London) are among the invited speakers. The study day is held in the beautiful historic Queens University Building in South Belfast, lunch is included and is sponsored by Siemens Healthineers.
