Radiology services managers across the UK are urged to complete the College of Radiographers’ 2020 Diagnostic Radiography Workforce Census.

The census helps the College inform the work of professional bodies, workforce planners, commissioners and providers of medical imaging.

The objectives of the census are to establish the size, structure, nature and vacancy rate of the workforce in order to inform future workforce planning. The 2019 report is available in our Policy and Document Library, while the 2020 questionnaire to help respondents prepare their online submission can be found below.

Alex, the SCoR professional officer for senior service managers and cross sectional imaging lead, said: 'In this most challenging of years the importance of diagnostic imaging and the need for an adequately resourced workforce has been highlighted. Obtaining accurate and up to date information on the radiographic workforce is crucial and undoubtedly offers an opportunity for the profession to influence governments. We do appreciate that you are required to submit data to many other organisations but would urge that you complete our census as we are in a position as an organisation to influence and inform policy makers as the recognised voice for the radiographic profession.'

The deadline to submit information is Friday 8 January 2021.
