NHS trusts in England are being invited to apply for funding to upgrade radiology and AI services.

£50million of capital is being made available through the Department of Health.

Trusts will compete to modernise diagnostic services, develop centres of excellence, and support research to improve diagnosis and deliver precision treatments. Applicant trusts must be linked with Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund centres of excellence.

Proposals, to be received by 20 November, must explain how funding will improve workflow efficiencies by investing in new equipment. This might include scanners, viewers, and PACs systems.
