Nominations have now opened for members of the SoR to enter the 2026 Radiography Awards.
Held every year in November, the awards offer members the chance to showcase exceptional individuals and teams in the radiography community.
If your colleague is driving positive change, inspiring the future workforce, championing the patient voice, or raising the profile of the profession, submit using the nomination form now.
Richard Evans, CEO of the SoR, said: “We hope you will submit an entry for this year's awards so that we can recognise and celebrate excellence across our profession.”
Katie Thompson, president of the SoR, added: “I had the honour to present these awards last year, and it made me feel such pride for our profession. Anyone who has made a difference to either a colleague, patient, service, student or their community can be nominated for an award.
“It takes a few minutes to fill in the nomination form and will mean everything to those who have been nominated. We are all feeling pressure in our fields of work right now, but we should not forget to celebrate the amazing work that is done every day. So please take the time to nominate someone who has made a difference to you.”
Five categories are open for nomination.
Team of the Year celebrates a stand-out team in radiography who use innovative practices to improve service delivery, the standards of patient care, or radiography education.
To ensure submissions are as strong as possible, it is recommended that members include measurable achievements that demonstrate their eligibility for the relevant award, evidence of meaningful impact or examples of having gone to the extreme in their work.
Form questions have been made available in advance this year to help strengthen nominations. Find out more information about the awards, including guidelines and requirements, and submit nominations online here.
Only SoR members are eligible either to nominate or be nominated. Self-nominations will not be accepted.
Nominations must be submitted by midnight on June 7.
