The SoR is set to host an open group discussion on the potential for a women’s sub-group initiative within Equalise, the Society’s Equality and Diversity network.
The aim of the initiative is to provide a dedicated space for women to share experiences and connect with one another, with the ultimate goal of nurturing personal and professional growth.
The online open group discussion will be held on 5 November 2024 from 7pm-8pm. It will be facilitated by Rubi Gubara-Sannie, founder and managing director of Turning Tables Consulting and Leandre Archer, head of industrial relations at the SoR.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear more about the potential group and share their thoughts on what it should prioritise for members. In addition, those present will be able to suggest specific issues they think the group should focus on and advise on how it can effectively support members.
Those interested in attending the discussion event can sign up using this link. They will subsequently receive a link to join the meeting.
What is SoR Equalise?
The SoR’s Equalise network works to promote the rights of all members across race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability and belief. All SoR members are welcome to join.
Equalise provides support to members on equality and diversity issues, lobbies on issues of concern and offers support for members in their professional environment. The group also attends events that promote its interests, such as Pride events across the UK.
