The Community of Allied Health Professionals is recruiting for the role of director to build on the organisation’s achievements and provide strategic leadership.

The Community of Allied Health Professionals (CAHPR) is a coalition of stakeholder Allied Health Professional (AHP) organisations concerned with the quality of patient care seeking to represent AHP research at the forefront of the profession.

It supports innovation that seeks to shape AHP influence, practice, career development and research culture.

Fostering innovation

The role will involve managing and developing the CAHPR, working with stakeholders to foster innovation, delivering the organisation’s objectives, and advocating AHP research and innovation activity.

In the role, the director will also devise strategies for promoting research awareness and activity among AHPs.

The CAHPR is seeking a candidate with a strong interest in developing AHP research capacity, with experience of leadership in healthcare and education, research, or public policy development.

Communication and team-building skills

Successful candidates are also likely to be a senior academic or a health policy specialist with strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

The appointment is for an initial three-year term, and the CAHPR is seeking to fill this role by June 2024.

An honorarium of £16,000 p.a. is offered for an anticipated time commitment of one day per week.
