Health Education England's (HEE) National Allied Health Professions Programme works across 14 professions and their associated professional bodies, regulators, and other stakeholders to optimise supply of AHPs, realise potential of the workforce and ensure a robust career pathway for all. Moving into the delivery phase of the new national AHP strategy ‘AHPs Deliver’ opportunities have arisen to be part of a new and unique development to support delivery this work.

HEE are seeking to recruit 9 x 8b 0.6 WTE - National AHP Education & Training Leads on a 22 months fixed term or seconded contract:

  • Grade: NHS TCS 2021: Band 8b
  • Contract: Secondment: 22 months (Fixed term may be considered)
  • Hours: Part time - 22.5 hours per week

  • Salary: £54,764 pro rata (exclusive of HCAS)

This posts forms part of 12 National AHP Education & Training LeadsEach team member focusing on one of the following professions: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Therapeutic Radiography, Arts Therapies (art, music and dramatherapy), Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy, Operating Department Practitioner Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Paramedicine, Orthoptics.

Post holders will work individually and as a team to achieve a range of outcomes. The 8c role will undertake additional responsibilities in leading and driving this work with line management to 8b roles.
