The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and collaborative professional to join the Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI) team as one of their Quality Improvement Partners (QIPs).

The QSI is a collaboration between the RCR and the College of Radiographers (CoR) to improve the quality of care for people attending medical imaging services. This is a fixed term, part-time role, and the deadline for applications is midnight on 21 May 2023.

In this role you will be responsible for working with imaging services across the UK to support and guide them on their journey toward meeting the QSI standards.

Using your professional experience working within an imaging service and enthusiasm for quality improvement (QI), you will help services to shape their approach to QI, working with them as they progress on their staged journey to meeting the standard in this stimulating role. 

What you will do

  • Work as the designated QIP for a portfolio of imaging services across the UK.  
  • Proactively contact all imaging services within your regions to promote the benefits of QSI and advocate the support offered by the Colleges to meet the standards. 
  • Work alongside the other QIP to run various QSI virtual meetings to support QSI leads, provide advice on specific issues, enable sharing of best practice and build a community for the QSI leads.  
  • Provide regular reports to demonstrate the progress and impact of our Colleges' activity and how it is translating through to the accreditation pipeline.
  • Ongoing review and update of the QSI standards.
