The latest edition of the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) 2026 is now available.
Developed jointly by the College of Radiographers (CoR) and The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), the QSI provides a nationally recognised framework to help imaging services deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care while supporting continuous quality improvement.
Reviewed and updated every four years, the standards are designed to reflect changes in legislation, guidance, technology and professional practice, ensuring they remain relevant to modern imaging services across the UK.
Expanded and update
The QSI 2026 introduces a new structure with clear and consistent language throughout.
Guidance within the standard has been expanded and updated. It also includes new standards covering key emerging areas, such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, workforce culture and insourcing and outsourcing.
