At our meeting on 27 May 2020, members of the College of Radiographers Patient Advisory Group (PAG) expressed their thanks and appreciation to SoR members for their remarkable efforts and personal sacrifices during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Members of the group spoke of their experiences accessing healthcare over the past few weeks.
They acknowledged that the radiographic workforce continue to deliver high quality compassionate care in the face of their own personal concerns and considerable professional challenges.

Of particular note was how well practitioners recognised the heightened level of fear some of our most vulnerable patients were experiencing: “More afraid than I have ever been about anything,” one member shared.

As we move towards a period of addressing the needs of patients who may have had to wait longer for their diagnostic tests or radiotherapy treatment, for any number of reasons, the group remains confident that SoR members will continue to rise to the challenges ahead.

The chair of the PAG, Philip Plant, and all members would like to send a heartfelt thank you for all that has been done to date.
