The Summer 2026 edition of the SoR’s official Continuing Personal Development journal, Insight, is now available.
This issue will be the final print edition of the magazine, with the digital Insight platform set to launch later this month.
Insight gives radiographers the chance to write about career and educational subjects with an impact on clinical roles.
The latest issue of the journal features spotlight articles and case studies focusing on topics such as the value of creating communities of practice, different career paths into the profession and how radiographers can lead services within paediatric intensive care.
Editorial board member and Diagnostic Radiographer Nima Norbu Sherpa said: “Across all of the contributions [to this edition], a unifying thread emerges: a profession actively shaping its own future through communities, clinical innovation, workforce strategy and the careful integration of new technologies. We hope this edition provides both practical value and professional inspiration.”
Other highlights of the edition include:
From June 2026, Insight will be switching entirely to an online-only format. On the upcoming digital platform, radiographers will have access to a full range of fully searchable CPD articles.
Alex Rapson-Ballinger, editor of Insight, said: “Since its launch, Insight and its predecessor, Imaging and Therapy Practice, have been absolute stalwart publications for the radiography profession.
“The move to a new, digital-only format is fantastic news for SoR members and researchers. By introducing a fully searchable archive, we are making years of invaluable CPD resources accessible anywhere, at any time.”
From September 2026, Insight will be published quarterly, exclusively via the online platform.
Alex added: “This is an exciting step that ensures Insight remains at the forefront of radiography publishing, and we can’t wait to share this new platform with professionals as they strive to deliver exceptional clinical practice.”
Insight is the official CPD publication of the Society of Radiographers and aims to provide an opportunity for radiographers to write about professional and educational subjects that have a direct bearing on their clinical role.
Authors also contribute to share information, ideas and CPD opportunities relevant to the science and practice of diagnostic radiography and therapeutic radiography.
