The latest edition of the Insight journal - the SoR’s official Continuing Professional Development (CPD) publication - is now available for members.
Insight allows radiographers to pen articles on subjects related to education and career, particularly those with an impact on clinical roles.
Insight Summer 2025 features spotlight articles and case studies, as well as an issue review fromInsight editorial board member Laura Knight.
Laura - a Diagnostic Radiographer by background - wrote: “It is great to see such a breadth of areas covered in this edition.”
“In the south of England, it certainly feels like we’ve skipped spring and have been launched headfirst into the dizzyingly warm days of summer. In academia, anecdotal, we seem to have hurtled through this year more quickly than ever before, and have arrived abruptly at the final exam period for our students.”
This issue of Insightfeatures seven articles in total. The first is an evaluation of the current evidence base in enhanced and advanced clinical practice, in reference to mammography reporting, written by Ifrah Akhtar.
On the subject of mammography, this edition also includes a case report by Helena Stephens on contrast-enhanced mammography.
Louise Tyler wrote an article on student radiographers’ perspectives on artificial intelligence, a hot-button topic that is being readily discussed in radiography circles. She outlined that “students expressed the concern that AI could replace certain aspects of the radiographer’s role”.
