The Department of Health (DH) has launched a consultation on draft regulations to transpose and implement requirements of the European Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom on medical exposures.

The DH have put a strict consultation period of 2 weeks in place for this consultation, meaning the closing date for SoR members to comment is 31 July 2017.

This consultation will seek views on specific elements of the regulations that are due to come into force on 6 February 2018.

If you would like to share your feedback as part of the formal SCoR response, please submit your comments to Maria Murray, MariaM@sor.org Professional Officer for Radiation Protection, by Tuesday 25 July.
