Equalise seeks input on Disability and Neurodivergent sub-group

An initiative to provide a space for disabled and neurodivergent members to connect needs your input

The SoR’s Equalise network is seeking input on the creation of a disability and neurodivergent sub-group.

Members are being encouraged to share their thoughts to help the team understand the interests and needs of members who would benefit from its creation.

The group aims to provide a supportive space for members to connect, share experiences and foster both professional and personal growth.

'A meaningful and supportive community'

Input from members of the society will ensure the sub-group reflects their needs, and will help to define its purpose and the kind of support it will provide.

A spokesperson for Equalise, which supports equal rights for all SoR members regardless of race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability and belief, said: “To ensure the group serves as a meaningful and supportive community, we would greatly appreciate hearing about any specific areas of interest you’d like to see addressed, as well as any suggestions you have on how the group can best support members within our network.”

Anyone who is interested in being part of the initiative or contributing ideas is invited to register for an open group conversation with the team’s equality, diversity and inclusion consultant, Rubi Gubara-Sannie, founder and managing director of EDI consultancy Turning Tables, and head of industrial relationsLeandre Archer.

The meeting is an opportunity to share views, explore potential focus areas, and discuss how members of the Society can support each other more effectively.

It will take place on 24 November at 6.30pm. For more information, and to register your attendance, follow this link.
