The Society of Radiographers is urging its members to complete its racism in health survey.
By taking part in the survey, you will help SoR better understand workplace discrimination and its impact on radiography.
Through responses, SoR is aiming understand what members are experiencing and to get an idea of the number and type of incidents being reported.
The survey takes around five minutes to complete, and all responses will be treated confidentially.
In a message to members, Leandre Archer, head of industrial relations for SoR, said: “By sharing your insight, you will help us identify what needs to change to create safer, more supportive workplaces. You will also help ensure that our future campaigns and communications represent members’ experiences accurately and responsibly.
“We know this can be a difficult topic to reflect on, and it may bring up challenging memories, so you can provide as much or as little as you choose.”
The survey aims to be an accessible way for members to share experiences, observations and concerns about workplace discrimination within healthcare.
Responses will help SoR with campaigning and related communications, and shine a light on what members are experiencing.
The survey consists of 18 questions, ranging from ‘Have you experienced racism at work in the last 18 months?’ to ‘How does your employer support you when you experience or witness racism at work?’.
How responses will be used:
● Your responses will be treated confidentially and will be used to help us understand the overall picture of what members are experiencing (including the number and types of experiences being reported).
● We will only use individual experiences as a case study or quote in external communications (including a press release) where you have explicitly told us you are happy for us to do so.
● If you agree to share your experience publicly, you can choose for it to be shared anonymously (with identifying details removed).
● If you leave contact details, this is only so we can follow up with you if you have said you are happy to be contacted.
The deadline to complete the survey is 12 February 2026.
