Annual Delegates Conference update: Change of date

SoR delegates conference is now set to take place in early summer

Published: 23 January 2023 Event News

Due to a venue issue, ADC 2023 is unable to go ahead in April. Expressions of Interest will open shortly for the new date, once an alternative venue is secured.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable contractual issues with our chosen venue, the Annual Delegates Conference (ADC) will not be able to move ahead at the original scheduled dates of Sunday 23 - Tuesday 25 April.

We are currently in advanced negotiations with an alternative provider for a date in early summer. We expect to be in the position to update members on the revised dates by the end of January.

What happens next

Once we have secured the new venue/date, we will re-run the Expressions of Interest process for all members; delegate leads will be contacted separately about their availability for the new dates and the new timetable for ADC 2023 will be circulated accordingly.

Please note: if you have previously expressed an interest to attend in April, you will need to resubmit your details to be considered for the revised date.

Dean Rogers, executive director of industrial strategy and member relations said: "I want to apologise to all members who had registered an interest, and particularly to regional and national committees and delegate leads for this unwanted development.

"This was the last thing anyone at SoR HQ was expecting, however circumstances mean we have no alternative but to reschedule. We look forward to shortly sharing the revised details for the largest, most positive, inclusive and productive ADC for several years."
