The Gastro-intestinal and Fluoroscopic Radiographers Special Interest Group (GIRSIG) is encouraging radiographers to join its exclusive online study day, which will take place on Saturday 14 June.
Though the event is also being held in-person at the radiology academy at Leeds General Infirmary, attendees are encouraged to sign-up to take part virtually.
Titled ‘Radiographer Excellence: Shaping the Future Together in Gastro-Intestinal and Fluoroscopic Imaging’, the study day promises to advance attendees’ professional knowledge in GI and fluoroscopic imaging.
This is a CPD-certified event. Attendance certificates and CPD-supported outcomes will be sent to attendees who provide their email address.
Successful registrants will receive a link to join the online session on Zoom. Attendees can log on from 8:45am on 14 June, with the first session scheduled to begin at 9:10am. The event will end for most participants at 4:30pm and the GIRSIG Annual General Meeting will take place from 4:30pm-5:30pm for members.
Throughout the event, participants will learn how to advance practical skills, improve their knowledge and interact with leading experts. They will also avail of four interactive Q&A sessions and improve their awareness of key topics, such as MRI vs Fluoroscopic Proctograms and service design in contrast imaging.
Other key topics include establishing an advanced practice role, information on the radiographer NG check x-ray pathway and information on radiographer role extensions in uroradiology.
Insights into colorectal surgery will also be on offer. GIRSIG chair Rachel Baldwin-Cleland will be introducing the event.
To attend, the fee is £10 for students - which also includes a one-year membership to GIRSIG- £50 for non-members and free for GIRSIG members.
