The SoR is celebrating this year’s Allied Health Professionals Day with an inaugural RADIATE: mix, move and mingle event.
Taking place on Tuesday 14 October, AHP Day is an opportunity for teams to connect and celebrate the profession, offering a platform to spotlight the remarkable impact AHPs have on the delivery of care.
In recognition of the importance of AHPs, the society is holding another event in its RADIATE series – this time with a theme of ‘Mix, Mingle, and Move’. Attendees will have the chance to pause, recharge, and learn simple exercises for use at home or work.
Hosted by Katie Thompson, SoR President, and Rachel Nolan, SoR President-Elect, the event will include a guided movement session led by Kerrie-Anne Bradley from Move at Your Desk, demonstrating how to improve sitting posture, strengthen, stretch and improve flexibility.
Katie said: “Our own wellbeing is important and something we should incorporate regularly in our lives. Taking time to reflect, exercise and socialise are extremely beneficial to our physical and mental health. Our mix, mingle and move event is designed to highlight the benefits of taking time out of your day to focus on you, with some useful hints and tips to stretch away the aches of the day.”
The SoR is proud to work alongside all AHPs and medical colleagues to deliver person-centred care. The event is open to any healthcare professional. Find out more information online here, or sign up directly to access the event online here.
RADIATE is the SoR’s wellbeing series designed to support members, so they can support others. Previous RADIATE: Wellbeing events and recordings can be accessed online here, including advice on mental health and financial aid.
