Professional Alliance of Indian Radiographers to host first conference

The International Radiographers’ Conference is due to be held on Saturday 5 July in Crewe under the theme “Building bridges in radiology”

The Professional Alliance of Indian Radiographers (PAIR) has invited members of the SoR to attend its first ever International Radiographers Conference.

Aiming to provide a unique platform for professionals from diverse backgrounds to connect, enhance their skills, and contribute to the future of the profession, the prestigious event will be held on Saturday 5 July at Apollo Buckingham Health Science Campus in Crewe.

Insights from leading experts and cutting edge research will be presented across a broad range of talks, offering an opportunity to enhance professional development and contribute to the advancement of radiology in the UK.

'Learn, network, thrive'

This year’s theme is 'Building Bridges in Radiology: Learn | Network | Thrive'. 

A spokesperson for the PAIR organising committee said: “We aim to create an enriching academic and professional experience, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among radiographers from diverse backgrounds. This conference will provide a platform to learn, network, and thrive, enhancing our collective expertise in the field of medical imaging.”

Speakers at this event include Diagnostic Radiographer and deputy chair of the Chief Allied Health Professions Office’s (CAHPO) Black, Asian Minority Ethnic Strategic Advisory Group Malany Kalicharan; Diagnostic Radiographer and senior director, clinical specialist in AI in radiology Shamie Kumar; research radiographer specialising in translational imaging Jan Alappadan Paul; and many others.

PAIR is a dedicated network of Indian-origin radiographers working within the healthcare system, committed to supporting and empowering Indian radiographers.
