Congratulations to winners of the Imaging & Therapy Practice student competition:

- Bradley Robinson City, University of London
- Kathleen Macdonald Glasgow Caledonian University
- Megan Mooney & Charlotte Lilley City, University of London
Their articles were judged to be the best of 20 pieces of work put forward by course leaders/tutors from HEIs across the UK.
During the judging process, members of the I&TP editorial board read through all the submitted articles and gave each one a score.
The final task of ranking the top five scoring articles was given to a specially selected second round judging panel, comprising SCoR Professional Officer Christina Freeman and Professor Pat Williams, Chair of the College of Radiographers Board of Trustees
The five winning students will receive cash prizes of up to £250 and their articles have been published in the October edition of I&TP.
The students have also been invited to the 2016 Annual Student Conference to receive their awards.
Additionally, this year, a special prize for the best CPD was also awarded, judged by SCoR Professional Officer for Education and Accreditation, Louise Coleman and sponsored by Axia Interactive Media, who donated a £100 Amazon gift card for the winner.
The article by Sharon Laver, a radiotherapy student at Sheffield Hallam University, will be the lead piece in the November issue of Imaging and Therapy Practice.
Christina Freeman said: “We have been particularly delighted this year with the number of papers we have received and very impressed with the excellent standard of writing.
“Students are vital to the future of the profession and must feel valued if they are to take their place in the profession, and publishing this special edition of I&TP sends a message to all students and everyone involved in teaching them, that they matter to the qualified radiography workforce and the profession as a whole.”
