Approval and Accreditation Board looking for assessors

Published: 07 May 2019 Ezine

The Approval and Accreditation Board is the body that oversees the College of Radiographers' education programme approval and individual accreditation activities. It is responsible for ensuring the quality of education programmes and placements for all tiers of the radiotherapy and clinical imaging workforce.

With the exception of CPD Now accreditation, all individuals seeking accreditation have their applications agreed by the Approval and Accreditation Board before they are recommended to the College Board of Trustees for ratification.

The Board is seeking four new members who are experienced clinical or campus educators in either therapeutic or diagnostic radiography. Applicants must also be experienced College of Radiographers' assessors.

Members of the 16-person board are from campus and clinical learning environments and include representatives from UK Council, the College Board of Trustees, and the Patient Advisory Group.  The term of office is five years.

All assessors will be contacted directly with the application requirements and closing date.
