CAHPR health research awards now open for entries

Are you a novice or early career researcher? Have you got an outstanding project which you want to share?

The Council for Allied Health Professionals Research (CAHPR) has just launched its annual Public Health Research awards, which hands out prizes to 3 research projects and 1 service evaluation each year.

Winners will receive:

  • Tickets to the PHE conference on 12-13 September
  • Associated expenses paid, including travel, conference costs and poster design costs.

Application is by submission of abstracts of high quality research/service evaluation that supports one or more of the following PHE priorities:

  • Tackling obesity, particularly among children
  • Reducing smoking and stopping children starting
  • Reducing harmful drinking and alcohol related admissions
  • Ensuring every child has the best start in life
  • Reducing the risk of dementia
  • Tackling the growth in antimicrobial resistance
  • Promoting workplace wellbeing
  • Promoting mental wellbeing
  • Increasing physical activity
  • AHP interventions showing an impact on population health outcomes.

Applicants must be HCPC registered AHPs who are members of their professional organisations and work within England.

The deadline for applications is 31 May.
