Despite a decrease in stillbirths over the last 10 years, 3600 still take place every year.
With 40% of these taking place due to placenta problems, the UK National Screening Committee has opened a national consultation in relation to screening to prevent stillbirth during pregnancy.
This is the first time the UK NSC has considered if a screening should be recommended for the condition and comments are being welcomed.
SCoR members are encouraged to respond to the draft review, which is now available for download.
Responses should be submitted to the UK NSC by the 12 May and responses will be published on the web page of the National Screening Committee after the final recommendation has been made.
If you would prefer, you can respond via the SCoR by sending any comments to [email protected] by 5 May 2019.
